Tonights bedtime story was
'Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Book?' by Lauren Child
It is a great book, which engages with the real way that children interact with books, and uses it to re-write classic fairytale characters.
Since Kit is only just 2, it is still quite a long book to get through with his concentration in tact, but he engages with the pull out middle pages and the holes in the book. He even told me off and turned the book upside down when we reached the page that Herb had pulled out and put back in upside down.
As a bedtime story it worked extra-specially well as, like Herb in the pic, my son is now fast asleep!
Thanks for linking up to BSM :) Lauren Child is genius, my daughter adores C&L.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, will pop back when I have some more time :)
Sounds like a great book - I'll have to look for it in the library when we go later. And FAB blog name btw.
