The added bonus was that he got to jump in some puddles too (and splash pooey yucky water all over my friend Jess) - sorry Jess.
We were at Spitalfields City Farm - which is a great place for a farm, as it is just off Brick Lane and all the markets, so you can do some guilt-free (well toddler guilt-free, not financial guilt-free) shopping once you have worn your little person out!
Surprisingly, we were the only people there on Sunday and so Kit had all the soggy toys in the play area to himself (until the heaven's opened again!). We've been before when they have had events on and they have great activities there too.
There are other city farms around London.
Lee Valley Park Farms, Essex
Mudchute City Farm, Isle of Dogs
Surrey Docks Farm, Rotherhithe
Vauxhall City Farm, Lambeth
Newham City Farm, Stansfeld Road, E6 5LT
Kentish Town City Farm, Chalk Farm
Hounslow Urban Farm, Middlesex
Hackney City Farm, Tower Hamlets
Freightliners City Farm, Highbury and Islington
Deen City Farm, Colliers Wood
Belmont Children's Farm, Mill Hill
and of course Crystal Palace Park Farm
I think we may have to organise a farm crawl, to visit all the piggys in London!!
